Rugby 7s returns to Gulu for the first time since 2021. KOBs beat Black Pirates in the Cup Final by just 03-00 points courtesy of a James Ijongat drop kick. To this day, it is the closest finish the country has seen in the men’s Cup Final.

Played on Uganda’s 59th Independence Day at the Pece War Memorial Stadium in the city center, it was a memorable, dramatic and entertaining tournament.

This time, the tournament will feature sixteen teams playing over two days—up from twelve teams playing on one day. Eight women’s teams will also participate.
