The curtains will fall on the 2024 Nile Special 7s Series exactly two months since it kicked off in Entebbe. Kings Park in Bweyogerere is the venue for the series finale on October 5-6. It will be the tenth edition of the Henry Rujumba Memorial 7s hosted by Stanbic Black Pirates.
Rujumba 7s defending champion and current men’s series leader Heathens are in Pool D after a shock fifth-place finish in Mbarara. The five-point gap between them and the rest of the competition might be enough to see them return to the top of men’s 7s for the first time since 2013, but only just.

Hot on the heels of Heathens and Avengers in the title race are hosts Pirates and Black Pearls. It is not enough that the latter must go all the way to the final and win it, the former need to lose big and do so early in the tournament.
