There are no plans for Paul Pogba to train at Manchester United, talkSPORT understands.

The former Manchester United midfielder, whose Juve deal was set to expire in 2026, did not reveal his next destination, though the 31-year-old has been linked to Inter Miami.

Pogba was handed a four-year doping ban – following an initial suspension – in March, but can now resume playing next March after the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) last month reduced his punishment to 18 months.

He will be a free agent on November 30 when his Juve contract ends.

Pogba is believed to be giving consideration to the MLS, European leagues and Middle East.

The 31-year-old is training at his home in Miami as he prepares for his next move.

Rumours had been circulating that Man United would open Carrington’s doors to their former player as he aims to regain fitness.

However, this is understood to not be under consideration.

“My time at Juventus has come to an end,” Pogba said in a statement.

“It has been a privilege to pull on the shirt of the bianconeri and to share so many special moments together.

“I cherish the memories we made. They live on.

“Even in the most difficult moments over the past year, your support was crucial and I want to thank Juve fans around the world for their compassion.

“It has been a pleasure to have experienced so many great moments with my team-mates over the years and I wish them every success in the future.

“I am looking forward to the next chapter of my career and to stepping out on the pitch with my next club.”

A Juventus statement read: “Juventus Football Club and Paul Pogba announce that they have reached a mutual agreement for the termination of their contract as of 30 November, 2024.

“The club wishes Paul the very best for his professional future.”

Perhaps Pogba was a victim of a heavy £89m price tag which at the time was the world record transfer fee.

He also served Man United post Sir Alex Ferguson which still is a period of imbalance featuring eight interim and permanent managers.

When Pogba rejoined the Old Lady in 2022 six years after his first stint he was earning £6.9m a year on a contract supposed to run until June 2026.

Many thought he would be able to resume the form Italian fans were used to watching but injury only allowed him to play 162 minutes across five matches during the 2022/23 season.

Before his ban he played 51 minutes as a substitute the next season.

If the 31-year-old wants to earn big his favourite destination could be Saudi Arabia.

Ivan Toney signed for Al-Ahli from Brentford in August and reportedly earns £400,000-a-week.

The country is also an appealing destination for Muslim players, like Pogba, Karim Benzema, and Sadio Mane, due to its proximity to Mecca, Islam’s holiest city.
