Luke Littler didn’t know what to make of his latest accolade after his success on the world darts stage.
Littler picked up the night two crown of the 17-week Premier League campaign in Glasgow last week, beating Luke Humphries in a tough final.

It follows a hugely positive start to 2025, where he became the sport’s youngest ever world champion by beating Michael Van Gerwen to capture the World Championship in January.
The 18-year-old is sending records tumbling and receiving various huge accolades, which has thrust his name further in the spotlight.
He first paraded the Sid Waddell trophy around the pitch at his beloved Manchester United at Old Trafford, living a lifelong dream.
Littler’s name will also be placed as that of the stadium for Rugby League outfit Warrington Wolves’ opening fixture of the season this Friday.
And in the latest reward handed to him by his home town, the teenage prodigy has been granted honorary citizenship.
It is simply seen as a formal salute to Littler from the Warrington Council, for his contributions to the community.
Although it wasn’t clear exactly what his new role entailed, and it is clear Littler wasn’t sure either.
‘The Nuke’ appeared on talkSPORT’s Hawskbee & Jacobs, and responded to the news.
He said: “Yeah I am.
“And to be honest with you, I don’t have a clue.”

Host Paul Hawksbee then asked if he would be wearing to a suit to events, on the back of his citizenship.
He replied: “That will probably be the only time [at Sports Personality] not again.”
It has been a whirlwind time in the sport for Littler, who turned 18 just last month.
He has become the figurehead of the sport, and a real superstar in the world of arrows, with targets on his back as he looks to lead the way in 2025.
Littler has received praise from almost every angle for the manner in which he has dealt with the intense scrutiny of success.
Matchroom chief Eddie Hearn has been impressed with Littler in meetings, and believes his personality has been the key to his handling of new stardom.

He said: “We’ve exchanged messages, but the most fascinating thing about Luke is how he’s managed to keep his head, keep performing at the highest level and do the right things.
“Plonkers can start to associate themselves, or start becoming involved, in athlete’s circles, but he’s got a really good group of people around him, which is so important for any big name.
“For him, it’s all about the darts. He’s making a fortune and he will continue to make more and more money, especially when the prize money, inevitably, continues to go up for the PDC.
“I just find it fascinating. I watched him in the Premier League the other night and he’s also a showman.
“I just think he’s perfect in every way and the reason why he’s perfect is because he lives to compete and he lives to play and everything else just follows on.
“As long as you can stay focused on that and you’re as good as he is, everything else comes with it.”
