Nottingham Forest v Fulham preview

Nottingham Forest have surprised many this season by heading into their sixth Premier League game of the campaign still with their unbeaten record in tact.

Nuno Espirito Santo’s side have won two and drawn three of their five league games so far, which includes a notable 1-0 win at Anfield and in impressive point at the Amex in their last two matches.

Nine points from their opening five matches leaves the east Midlands side up in eighth in the table ahead of this weekend, where they currently find themselves just two points off the top four despite being tipped to be relegation candidates at the start of the campaign.

The one drawback from Forest’s impressive start to the season is they’re yet to win a match on their home turf, a record they’ll be looking to set right on Saturday afternoon.

Fulham are another side who enjoyed a solid start to the new Premier League season, another side backed by many struggle after losing a number of first team players in the summer transfer window.

Marco Silva’s side are unbeaten in the league since the opening night of the season, when they might have felt hard done by to return from Old Trafford without anything to show for it.

Eight points in their four matches since then though, including inflicting Newcastle’s first defeat of the season in an impressive 3-1 win last season has taken the Cottagers into the top half of the Premier League table.

The west London side now sit in ninth place ahead of the weekend’s action, just a point behind their opponents on Saturday and just three off the Champions League places, albeit at this early stage of the season.

Although Forest won the last two sides met at the City Ground back in April, Fulham had won their last four away games against Nottingham Forest and have a very strong recent record against the east Midlands side.

Two Portuguese managers go head-to-head at the City Ground on Saturday afternoon, with Nuno leading Silva in wins against the other, currently with a record standing at 4-3 after eight touchline meetings.

Nottingham Forest v Fulham betting tips

Nottingham Forest head into this weekend’s fixture as favourites after their highly impressive unbeaten start to the season in all competitions, and Betfair’s pricing of 13/2 on Forest to win, have the most shots on target and the most corners looks a potentially lucrative bet.
