Nottingham Forest will host Manchester United on Matchday 30 of the Premier League. Forest are fresh from a penalty shootout win over Brighton in the FA Cup 6th Round on Saturday.

Manchester United will be looking for revenge on Forest. The Tricky Trees beat the Red Devils 3-2 in the reverse fixture at Old Trafford in December.

Nottingham Forest vs Man Utd predictions

Nottingham Forest are having an outstanding season. Not only are the Tricky Trees into the semi-finals of the FA Cup, they are also third in the Premier League with 54 points from 29 matches.

The Reds have won 16, drawn six and lost seven. Their remarkable form has taken them to the brink of qualification for next season’s Champions League.

Forest will start the matchday six points clear of fifth place Manchester City. A place at the table of Europe’s elite club competition next season is now theirs to lose.

The team’s success this season has been built around the solid spine of Matz Sels, Nikola Milenkovic, Morgan Gibbs-White and Chris Wood.

The four have been consistent all campaign, allowing the likes of former-United winger Anthony Elanga and Callum Hudson-Odoi to express themselves in the attacking third.

Chris Wood is also the fourth highest scorer in the Premier League with 18 goals. He was forced to sit out Forest’s 0-0 draw with Brighton in the FA Cup on Saturday, after injuring his hip on international duty. The forward is a doubt for the match against United.

Manchester United sit 13th in the Premier League table with 37 points from 29 matches. The Red Devils have won ten, drawn seven and lost 12. Highlighting just how poor United have been, they have a -3 goal difference.

Things have picked up in recent weeks. The Red Devils are four without defeat in the Premier League.

Ruben Amorim’s team started their run with a 2-2 draw away to Everton at Goodison Park. A 3-2 home win over Ipswich Town was next, with United then holding Arsenal to a 1-1 draw, also at Old Trafford.

United signed off the international break with a 3-0 win over Leicester City. Goals from Rasmus Hojlund, Alejandro Garnacho and Bruno Fernandez sealed the convincing win.

Nottingham Forest vs Man Utd betting tips

A huge 17 points separate the two teams. United will be hoping their improved form of recent weeks can help them bridge that gap and gain revenge on Forest for their 3-2 win at Old Trafford earlier in the season. Our match betting tips are below:

Man Utd to win or draw

We believe Manchester United can get something from this match. Bruno Fernandez is flying and Rasmus Hojlund and Alejandro Garnacho both ended their scoring droughts in the 3-0 win over Leicester in United’s last outing.

Yes, we’ve witnessed plenty of false dawns from United already this season. And yes, the form book and league table clearly points to a home win. But, we just feel United may have finally turned the corner.

Furthermore, there are also doubts about Chris Wood being fit to play for the home team, and they had to play 120 minutes in the FA Cup on Saturday..

The Red Devils are 2/1 to win on the match result market. It is tempting at those odds, but Forest has only lost twice at home in the league this season, so we are going for United to win or draw.

⚽ Back Man Utd to win or draw in double chance at 8/13 with Tote ⚽

Over 2.5 goals

There has only been one goal scored at the City Ground in Forest’s last two matches. That was in the 1-0 win over Manchester City. The other match was a 0-0 draw with Arsenal.

In the home league match before that, Forest smashed Brighton 7-0 and there have also been 16 goals (eight for and eight against) scored in Forest’s last three league matches on the road.

Over 2.5 goals have been scored in three of Manchester United’s last four matches. The 1-1 draw with Arsenal is the only game that failed to see a minimum of three goals.

There are statistics for and against this bet. But five goals were scored when the two met earlier in the season and we see more goals when they meet on Tuesday.

⚽ Back over 2.5 goals at 37/40 with Parimatch ⚽

Bruno Fernandez to score or assist

One of the reasons we can see goals in this match is the form of Bruno Fernandez.

The Portuguese midfielder is being linked with a move to Real Madrid, no less, and it’s hard to imagine where United would be without him in recent weeks.

Some may argue that he is part of the problem at the club, that he isn’t a positive influence. But while he is scoring and assisting at his current rate, he is invaluable to boss Ruben Amorim.

Fernandez has three goals and four assists in his last four matches. Back him to add to his tally against Forest.

⚽ Back Bruno Fernandez to score or assist at 13/10 with bet365 ⚽
