Faltering KCCA could finish the first round ten points behind leaders Vipers if they fall to Mbarara City at Kakyeka on Tuesday.
The Kasasiro go into the game in indecent form with just one win one in eight matches.
Abdallah Mubiru is aware that failing to pick maximum points at Kakyeka will leave his side with a mountain to climb as they tend to stay in close proximity with the leading pack.
“We are in a situation that is not good and we are all aware and pulling in one direction to overcome the indecent run,” said Mubiru. “The team has prepared well and we are here to give everything and leave with maximum points as we can’t afford to slip further in the race,” he added.
Currently on 24 points in fourth position after Express’ win over UPDF, the 14-time champions will ensure they end the first round with seven points behind.
Peter Magambo, Ibrahim Juma, Filbert Obenchan, Bright Anukani and Steven Munguchi are all out for the visitors who remain unbeaten away from home so far this season.
Mbarara City, like KCCA started well but have since faded with no win in the past five matches and lost their last outing 1-0 to NEC on Saturday.
Elsewhere, Villa visit Kitara at Butema, BUL are at home to Wakiso Giants in Lugazi, URA take on Police at Nakivubo while NEC are away to Mbale Heroes.
