Paddy Pimblett was left bewildered by the judges’ scorecards for his career-best win over Michael Chandler.
The Liverpudlian barely put a foot wrong in a dominant display against the former Bellator lightweight champion.

However, two of the three judges scored the opening stanza in Chandler’s favour.
Luckily for Pimblett, it didn’t matter as he stopped his adversary in round three with some heavy ground and pound.
But Pimblett still wasn’t best pleased with Chris Lee and Derek Cleary’s first-round scorecards.
“Two judges gave him the first round, the stupid c****,” Pimblett said before reading out a fan’s comment slating the judging.
“Disgusting, two judges gave MC the first round, thank God he finished him and left no crumbs, it is clear UFC judges are being bribed,” read the comment.
Pimblett then added: “They are not wrong. These judges!
“What the f*** was that? I absolutely muftied him.”
Despite dropping the first two rounds on Lee and Cleary’s scorecards, Pimblett still entered the third and final frame ahead with two of the three judges.
Lee gave Pimblett a 10-8 round in the second, which put him ahead at 19-18 on his scorecard, while the third ringside official, Junichiro Kamijo, gave both rounds to Pimblett (20-18).
Cleary had Pimblett winning the second round 10-9, meaning his scorecard read 19-19 even.

Pimblett’s victory means he will likely enter the lightweight top 10 on Monday morning.
Chandler was ranked No.7 in the 155lbs ratings heading into the clash, while Pimblett was placed five spots behind him at No.12.
The victory is likely to have taken him within one win of a title shot.
Reigning champion Islam Makhachev is expected to defend his belt against former featherweight king Ilia Topuria next.
After which, Pimblett could get himself in a prime position to take on the Russian with a win over a top-five opponent.
At present, Makhachev has beaten three out of the top five fighters, with only Max Holloway and Justin Gaethje yet to face him.
