Paidha United Sports Club and Pakwach Young Stars shared the spoils in a goalless game of the West Nile regional league encounter at Kings Stadium Cana in Zombo district.
These two greater Nebbi based sides squandered countless chances in front of goal posts in their derby of the Nyagak Zone.
The Sunday afternoon neck to neck contest between the two sides that sit second and third on the log, ended in a dizzying speed, with a much balanced officiation by center referee Muzamil Ijaga, who was assisted by Chrispus Rwothomio and Innocent Opakrwoth.
Edward Rwothomio, the head coach of Paidha United acknowledged the teams’ low performance, assuring of future improvements and securing maximum six points in the remaining games.
“This is not the result I expected but we can improve.” Rwothomio asserted.
Meanwhile, Noah Aziz, the technical director of Pakwach Young stars praised his side for securing a crucial away point, highlighting the club’s weakness upon losing two formidable players to other clubs last season.
“We expected a win but we took the one point we also lost to our main poachers.” Aziz
The match day nine clash between Paidha united and Pakwach Young stars was the third last Nyagak Zone regional league fixture for this season.
Paidha United Christened as ” the Comrades ” will play Alpha rising stars away from home and Arua Airfield at their backyard at Kings Stadium Cana in January 2025, crowning their first league of the regional league campaign.
