For the first time in history, Topps’ Rip Night went global – and sports trading card fanatics loved every minute.

Hong Kong and Paris were just some of the new locations where superstars past and present met supporters to celebrate ‘The Hobby’.

In London, another of the new cities, it was Arsenal legend, and talkSPORT’s very own, Ray Parlour who joined lucky punters at Kaboom Cards in Finsbury Park.

It wast he perfect setting ahead of a crunch north London derby where he spoke with fans and pulled cards from Topp’s sought-after Arsenal Forever set.

Parlour enjoyed ripping open the collectibles so much he begged for more, showcasing the delight that fills most when they start collecting cards.

Signed shirts also went the way of raffle winners on a night where Topps gave back to fans.

Parlour also told stories from his career, including that Igor Stepanovs fable, while revealing that iconic stars Pavel Nedved and Francesco Totti were in his very own shirt collection.

Radio star Roman Kemp was involved too, pulling an incredible Robin van Persie relic card in front of fans.

But in Paris is where one of the biggest moments of the night occurred.

There it was current Paris Saint-Germain star Achraf Hakimi who held court and he had one young fan in tears when he managed to pull a Lionel Messi autographed card for him.

The stunned youngster was delighted as fans around cheered with excitement before thanking his hero.

In America, Tom Brady, spotted at Fanatics Fest earlier this year explaining the evolution of his signature, spent time with collectors.

In London, Roman Kemp pulled an incredible Van Persie cardTopps

He did so as he gets to grips with his new $375million broadcasting career.

Victor Wembanyama was another megastar who held court with over the moon fans too

The NBA rookie sensation Wembanyama took it out of this world, opening a box of Star Wars cards – the perfect man to show the incredible reach of trading cards.

Comedian Kevin Hart and MLB superstar Mike Trout were at other shops, negotiating trades fans on an epic night of celebration.

Even UFC president Dana White got involved and had to laugh when he pulled a Conor McGregor card from Topps’ UFC Midnight set.

The Irishman is currently demanding his next fight after Michael Chandler, the man he was meant to face next, was given a rematch with Charles Oliveira at UFC 309.

White took one look at the McGregor collectible and showed it off to those gather around as he chuckled before heading off to UFC 306.

In another shop, one collector opened a pack of Topps Chrome Basketball with Jalen Hood-Schifino – and pulled the LA Lakers star’s autograph.

That enabled the pair to pull of an awesome photo on the night -and it’s one which collectors won’t be forgetting in a hurry.
