Uganda Cranes coach Paul Put has been at various Africa Cup of Nations finals with different countries but believes the 35th edition in Morocco will be special.

Uganda will be amongst the 24 competing nations after securing qualification with two match rounds to play thanks to Put and his staff who have so far garnered 10 points and top Group K that also has South Africa.

“Morocco will be very special. Morocco is the best African country in team, players, infrastructure and everything,” Put told reporters at Namboole.

“So automatically, the players will get more publicity than anywhere with due respect because I have played Afcon in South Africa which was also good.

“But I think in Morocco, there will be more attention, more cameras on the players and more publicity for players.”

The edition in Morocco will take place in December 2025 and run until January 2026.
