· Maroons FC Vs Soltilo Bright Stars FC – Luzira 4pm
· Express FC Vs BUL FC – Nakivubo 7pm
Police start life without Isaac Ogwang who quit the club for Vipers with a tough test away to desperate Lugazi at Najjembe on Wednesday.
Ogwang scored nearly half of the goals (6) the Cops have managed so far in the division and his departure could have an effect on the side’s goal scoring department.
However, the acquisition of Umar Kasumba who played for the club in 2013 and Emmanuel Loki who joins from KCCA means Simon Peter Mugerwa has enough strikers’ options to unleash against Lugazi who have arguably been the busiest side in the window besides Mbale Heroes.
The Cops are winless in the past four matches in the league and are aware that failure to win at Lugazi could see them join the fight to stay up despite a decent start to the campaign on return to the premier league.
Meanwhile, Lugazi who are just on the crisp of the relegation zone with 14 points, just four behind 10th placed Cops also want to end a long spell without a win.
Lugazi are winless in eight league matches with their latest win coming over NEC in October last year.
New signings Joseph Othieno, Shafik Avemah, Hussein Ssenoga and Lumumba Ezra could make their league debuts for Steven Bogere’s men.
