Grace Kasango is a man of little words but brimmed with lots of action.
The professional golfer won the 26th edition of the Kinyara Sugar Golf open in Masindi.
The towering player, standing at six feet plus was outstanding in the 36 holes played on the par-71 nine-hole course.
Kasango scored 1-under-70 during the first round and climaxed with 2-over-73 during the subsequent round to topple the rest of the crop.
This was the second victory for Kasango on the same fortress like in the year 2022.
“Masindi has been good to me once again after my triumph in 2022. It was a good two rounds of golf for me and I am happy for the victory” Kasango who earned a bulk of Ug.Shs 10,000,000 stated.
Overall, this is Kasango’s third victory since making his professional debut in 2022.
In Masindi, Tom Jjingo finished second with 145 gross, a shot better than Ronald Bukenya.
Saidi Mawa and Joseph Mawejje each scored 149 to complete the top 5 positions.
Last year’s champion Adolf Muhumuza (150), Emma Ogwang (151), Silver Opio (151), Samuel Kato (152) and Peter Ssendaula (152) completed the top 10 positions.
Meanwhile, home bred top amateur Joseph Kasozi won the gross category with a total of 216 gross in 54 holes played over three rounds.
Lake Victoria Golf Resort and Spa member Ivan Sekulima came second with 76, 75, 76 (227) and Abdullah Kakooza of Mary Louise Simkins Memorial Golf course in Namulonge was third on the leaderboard with 75, 76, 81 (232).
The annual Kinyara Golf open tournament is organized by Kinyara Sugar Limited.
It is supported by Liaison Group, ICEA Lion Insurance, Gold Star Insurance Company Limited, UAP Old Mutual, Sanlam Insurance and MUA.
