Travis Kelce and Andy Reid will be looking to avoid a repeat of one infamous moment as they step out for Super Bowl LIX on Sunday.
Last year, when the Kansas City Chiefs took on the San Francisco 49ers in the big game, tensions were running incredibly high.

During the second quarter, Kelce‘s frustrations got the better of him and head coach Reid bore the brunt.
The tight end was visibly annoyed at being taken out of the game after Isiah Pacheco fumbled the ball in the red zone.
He proceeded to scream in 65-year-old Reid’s face on the sidelines and barge into his coach, who was taken by surprise and stumbled.
A raging Kelce had to led away by teammate Jerrod McKinnon and told to calm down.
Analysing the incident at half-time, CBS’ Boomer Esiason said it showed the frustration the Chiefs were under.
But by the end, all was forgotten as the Chiefs closed out a thrilling Super Bowl victory – with Kelce and Reid both laughing off the incident.
Speaking of his head coach following the win in 2024, Kelce told reporters: “I got the greatest coach this game has ever seen, he’s unbelievable.
“He’s unbelievable at not only dialing up plays and having everybody prepared, but he’s one of the best leaders of men I have ever seen in my life.
“He’s helped me a lot with that. With channelling that emotion, channelling that passion.
“And I owe my entire career to that guy. To be able to kind of control how emotional I get. I just love him.”

As for Reid, he joked: “He caught me off balance. Normally I’d give him a little but I didn’t have any feet under me.”
In Vegas last year, the Chiefs left it late to win the Super Bowl, beating the 49ers 25-22 in overtime.
This year, they are back in the big game once again, and face the Philadelphia Eagles in New Orleans on Sunday night.
Kansas City are on the verge of history, chasing a three-peat, having won the previous two Super Bowls.
With everything on the line, the Chiefs will need to stay cool under pressure – something they have done well all season.
And as for Kelce and Reid, don’t expect to see a repeat of last year’s moment, because the veteran tight end has already admitted his regret.

“I can’t get that fired up to the point where I’m bumping coach and it’s getting him off balance and stuff,” he told his New Heights podcast last year.
“It came in a moment when we weren’t playing very well and I wasn’t playing very well.
“It’s definitely unacceptable and I immediately wished I could have taken it back.
“Coach Reid actually came right up to me after that and didn’t even have harsh words for me.”
