Rangers vs Fenerbahce predictions
Rangers may be struggling domestically, but last week in Turkey they had their best result of the season with a 3-1 win over Fenerbahce.
The Gers took the lead after six minutes thanks to Cyriel Dessers. Fenerbahce fought back and equalised through Alexander Djiku at the 30-minute mark. But goals late in both halves (42 and 81 mins) from Vaclav Cerny clinched a remarkable win for Barry Ferguson’s struggling team.
Despite the first-leg result, this tie still looks far from over. A sentiment that can be backed up by the domestic form of both teams.
Rangers have suffered back-to-back home defeats in the Scottish Premiership. St. Mirren won 2-0 on Matchday 27 and in the Ger’s last domestic fixture, Motherwell won 2-1 on Matchday 29.
The Scottish giant’s poor showing this season led to the dismissal of Philippe Clement after the loss to St. Mirren. The team are currently 16 points behind leaders Celtic after 29 matches.
Fenerbahce also sit second domestically, albeit a lot closer to the team at the top of the table.
Jose Mourinho’s team have 61 points from 25 matches. They are seven points behind Galatasaray, who lead the way with 68 points from 26 matches.
Mourinho’s team are in good form domestically. They are unbeaten in the league since a 1-0 loss away at Besiktas on Matchday 15 at the beginning of December. Since that loss, Fener have won nine and drawn two.
An impressive seven-match winning streak was brought to an end by a 0-0 draw away at Galatasaray on Matchday 25. Mourniho’s team won their next, and most recent, match 3-0 against Antalyaspor.
The Rangers’ defeat aside, there isn’t much wrong with this team.

Rangers vs Fenerbahce betting tips
Neither team has played since last Thursday’s first leg. So both should be refreshed ahead of what is set to be a nervy night at Ibrox. Our match betting tips are below:
Fenerbahce to win or draw
A two-goal advantage from the first leg is great for Rangers.
But, what do Rangers do now? It’s risky to sit back and defend their lead, but the Gers aren’t going to go gung-ho looking for the goal that will probably clinch their place in the next round.
Barry Ferguson is on record as saying he is not getting carried away. He knows the tie is far from over. And although Rangers are in a position of strength, if they concede the first goal, the Ibrox faithfull could be in for a long night.

Fenerbahce have nothing to lose. They have to score at least twice.
But under the leadership of Jose Mourinho, we don’t expect them to go for the jugular right from the first whistle.
We can see the visitors not losing on the night. Whether they can overturn the deficit and qualify is another question, and could depend on how Rangers approach the match.
Tip – Back Fenerbahce to win or draw at 1/2 with BetMGM
Over 2.5 goals and BTTS
Although we feel this match could be a nervy affair early on, we can see one goal opening the tie up. Even if we have to wait until the second half.
The first leg saw four goals. Only one came from the hosts, but Fenerbahce had 23 attempts on goal to eight from Rangers.
Despite plenty of errors, Fenerbahce looked the better team on the night. We don’t see them being as wasteful at Ibrox. And along with Rangers being the home team, we can see both teams scoring in this match.
Fenerbahce need at least two goals. It’s likely they will have to throw caution to the wind at some point in the second half, and that could really see the match opening up, with the possibility of goals at both ends of the pitch.
Tip – Back over 2.5 goals and yes in both teams to score at 97/100 with SBK
Youssef En-Nesyri to score anytime
So far this season, Youssef En-Nesyri has 16 goals and four assists in 24 Turkish Süper Lig matches and six goals in 11 Europa League matches.
If you think that’s impressive, you really need to read on, as the 27-year-old has been in outstanding form in recent weeks.
He has 13 goals and one assist in his last ten league matches and three goals in his last four Europa League matches (he only failed to score in the first leg against Rangers).
En-Nesyri is 10/11 to score or assist. But, he hasn’t provided an assist in the Europa League this season, or in the Turkish Süper Lig in his last five (since Matchday 20).
We are just backing him to score at the better odds given his recent record.
Tip – Back Youssef En-Nesyri to score anytime at 7/5 with Betfair
