Real Madrid don’t make many mistakes in the transfer market – but they may just have to rectify a small one fairly soon.
Okay, they did once sign Julien Faubert on loan from West Ham – but more often than not Los Blancos sign superstars and wonderkids on the path to greatness.

Much like Manchester United with Sir Alex Ferguson, Real Madrid formed a winning team and now is creating a dynasty with a plethora of smart deals.
Already, iconic Champions League winners like Casemiro, Toni Kroos, Cristiano Ronaldo, Gareth Bale, and Karim Benzema have been replaced.
Now Aurelien Tchouameni, Jude Bellingham, Vinicius Jr, Rodrygo, and Kylian Mbappe are the next generation.
But they might need to make room for Nico Paz.
The son of ex-Argentina World Cup star Pablo Paz, Nico was on the books in the Spanish capital from 2016.
However, despite some promising appearances last season, the attacking midfielder left the club in the summer.
It wasn’t without Real Madrid’s blessing, they know his abundant talent.
And now he’s showcasing his impressive skills under former Barcelona, Arsenal and Spain star Cesc Fabregas at Como in Serie A.
He scored his first goal for the Italian side against Parma, a smart finish from close range.
And it comes hot on the heels of an assist for Lionel Messi on his Argentina debut.

Thankfully for Real Madrid, while they shifted Paz to Como for just £5million, they have an insurance policy.
It’s believed Los Blancos can re-sign the midfielder for £7.5m at the end of the current season.
The buy-back clause then increases to £8.3m in 2026 and £9.1m in 2027.
Meanwhile, they also have a 50 per cent future sell-on clause to further ensure they don’t lose out as the 20-year-old blossoms.
Messi is already an advocate for the youngster.
After Paz’s assist to him against Bolivia in a 6-0 thrashing, Messi waxed lyrical over the youngster.
“Today, Nico made his debut, and he played really well and is important to us,” he said after the win.
“He has an incredible mindset, and that’s why he’s where he is.
“Nico has a lot of quality and understands the game perfectly.
“He has an incredible mindset, and he’s with a coach [Fabregas] who is my friend and will help him grow a lot.”
