Roy Keane appeared to have a heated confrontation with an Ipswich Town fan following the club’s 1-1 draw with Manchester United on Sunday.

The United legend was working as a pundit for Sky Sports at Portman Road as Ruben Amorim took charge of the club for the first time.

Keane returned to the ground at which he was manager from 2009 to 2011, although it wasn’t the most successful of stints.

During Sky Sports’ post-match coverage of Sunday’s draw, the 53-year-old was spotted walking over to an Ipswich fan at pitch side.

In footage posted on X by Daily Mail reporter Nathan Salt, he could be seen pointing and exchanging words with a supporter.

This came during a commercial break, with the confrontation lasting just a few seconds..

As reported by the Daily Mail, another fan in one of the upper tiers at Portman Road was heard shouting ‘F*** you Keane!’

A separate video posted on social media offers a closer view, with Keane shouting: “I’ll wait for you in the car park!”

Keane eventually had to be ushered away from the individual, before he then returned to his punditry role.

The former United midfielder was appointed as Ipswich’s manager in April 2009 following a successful spell at Sunderland.

He won his first two matches in charge at the end of the 2008/09 Championship season but struggled in the following campaign.

Ipswich had to wait until their 15th league match for their first victory and finished nine points above the bottom three in 15th.

Keane was then dismissed from the role at the beginning of 2011, with the Tractor Boys being the second and final club he’s managed.

He left with a win record of 29 from 81 matches in all competitions, with 24 of those draws and 28 defeats.

Keane has only worked in assistant roles since leaving Ipswich, doing so with Ireland, Aston Villa and Nottingham Forest.

Now a popular pundit, he was in attendance for United’s latest Premier League fixture which ended in a fourth draw of the season.

Marcus Rashford opened the scoring within 81 seconds of the first half before Omari Hutchinson sealed a point for Ipswich before half-time.
