Russell Wilson’s wife Ciara seems delighted with the quarterback signing with the New York Giants.
After weeks of speculation, Wilson has found a new NFL team as he arrives in New York after spending last season with the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Wilson has reportedly signed a one-year deal worth up to $21 million with $10.5 million guaranteed.
His arrival comes just a week after the Giants signed veteran Jameis Winston to a two-year contract.
Now, Ciara, a popular singer, took to social media to celebrate her NFL husband’s new team.
Ciara, who has been married to Wilson since 2016, posted a photo of the quarterback in a New York Yankees jersey.
“New York State of Mind! My greatest inspiration @dangerusswilson,” the Grammy winner captioned the post while playing Jay-Z and Alicia Keys’ hit song Empire State of Mind.
Wilson was once a baseball prospect, having played two seasons for MLB‘s Colorado Rockies as a second baseman in their minor league system.
However, the team-time Pro Bowler who was a two-sport student at college, switched his focus to football in 2011.
Wilson’s arrival in New York means it all but eliminates the possibility of the Giants being an option for Aaron Rodgers.
It does pave the way for Rodgers and the Steelers, though. Wilson’s former team could agree to a deal with the four-time MVP should he want to play this season.
The Giants now have three quarterbacks on their roster: Wilson, Winston, and Tommy DeVito.

It’s expected that Winston, who signed a two-year $8 million contract, will be the team’s backup.
DeVito is a holdover who appeared in 12 games for the team over the past two seasons.
Wilson is also very familiar with the Giants’ home, having won Super Bowl XLVIII at MetLife Stadium with the Seahawks in 2014.
“Been here before… can’t wait to do it again,” Wilson wrote on X after news broke of his deal.
Wilson’s signing does not rule out the Giants possibly drafting a quarterback in next month’s NFL draft.
The side has the No. 3 pick and owner John Mara has previously said that the team’s top priority and “No. 1 issue” was to find a quarterback of the future.

None of their quarterbacks in Wilson, Winston and DeVito are on long-term deals.
Nevertheless, New York has a solid veteran on their books in the short-term.
Wilson spent his first ten years with the Seahawks and threw two touchdown passes in Seattle’s Super Bowl XLVIII win.
He has 46,135 passing yards, a 64.7 percent completion percentage (3,882 for 6,001), and 350 touchdown passes to 111 interceptions over a 13-year career.
