The third round of the I&M Bank Katogo Golf Series is scheduled for this Saturday, September 28, at the lake-side par-71 Entebbe Club.
This weekend’s event, which is the penultimate round of this year’s series, will be played under the ‘Russian Chicago Stableford’ format.
Under this pairs’ format, each player records individual points per hole, and at the end of the round, the pair multiplies their points to get a team score for each hole.

The third round of the series has been featuring daily online trivia questions leading up to the main event.
The questions were based on I&M Bank’s golden legacy and the tournament’s history.
Winners of the trivia questions will be awarded on Saturday at the 19th hole, along with the top performers on the course.
Katogo Captain Elly Kibuka Mukasa revealed that, apart from trivia winners, there will be other exciting prizes to be given out at the 19th hole.
“Our partners, Victoria Motors, have staked a Mitsubishi Xpander as a hole-in-one prize on that day. If you hit an ace on the hole we will reveal later, the 7-seater ride is yours. This is one of the most luxurious hole-in-one prizes ever,” Mukasa said.
Mukasa added that there will also be prizes for the top five male pairs, the top three lady pairs, and side bet winners.

This edition’s prizes shall vary from air tickets, vouchers, to golf apparel and trophies.
“Overall, we expect a great event from the first tee to the final sip. We have already registered overwhelming participation and anticipate a full course, as has always been the case since the event was amended from an invitational tourney, to an open one. We’re looking forward to another exciting day filled with friendly competition, teamwork, and good sportsmanship,” Mukasa added.
I&M Bank, who donated Shs20 million towards supporting caddies and the course maintenance staff in the previous edition held in June, is determined to see the tournament soar beyond the course and golfers, and positively impact the community.
“At I&M Bank, we care about the communities we operate in. We do not just look out for our clients, but the broader communities where we operate, for they are a big part of us. We will continue supporting people in these communities, it’s our way of fulfilling our commitment to social good, and uplifting the many people in the background, that offer tremendous support to bring our activities to life,” Annette Nakiyaga, the Head of Marketing and Corporate Communications at I&M Bank Uganda said.

Meanwhile, in the second quarter played under the ‘Tee for Me’ format, the Slayers of Gods, consisting of Entebbe Club trustee Edward Kabuchu and Katogo series Vice Captain Andrew Kibaya, as well as Ruth Akello and Juliana Ichabala of ‘the Sharks,’ won the bragging rights after emerging triumphant in the men and ladies’ categories respectively.
