Saturday horse racing tips
- AYR
1.10: Homme Public 8/1 each-way (1pt)
4.10: C’Est Ta Chance 4/1 (1pt) - NEWBURY
1.25: Bellum Justum 11/4 (1pt)
2.35: Al Qudra 6/1 each-way (1.5pts)
Homme Public
Willie Mullins makes a huge bid to win the Champion Trainer title and sends a fair few to Ayr this weekend.
He has Western Diego in the first and the eight-year-old does appeal over the likes of top-weight Tommy’s Oscar who gives away over a stone to the majority of runners here.
Homme Public was a very close second of nine runners in his only chase start over 2m this season, in only his second over fences too so is worth backing in again each-way on his third.
C’Est Ta Chance
This is a wide open contest that sees two Mullins horses at the front of the betting.
C’Est Ta Chance does carry top-weight but JJ Slevin on board the Simon Munir and Isaac Souede owned horse is always a good sight to see in these kinds of races.
The horse has somewhat disappointed in his last three outings but I think there’s more to come from this gelding by Elm Park.
The same can be said for Quebecois who has also disappointed in three runs after dominating a maiden prior.
Bellum Justum
Goes well fresh and comes into this still with great form on the back of and start of last season.
Winning at Epsom, being denied by just a neck at Goodwood and then going to win well under Frankie Dettori at Kentucky Downs.
This horse has a lot to like about him and could get close to earning £1m for owners King Power.
Al Qudra
I absolutely love this colt by No Nay Never, who has been very dependable for Godolphin, trained by Charlie Appleby.
William Buick is on the saddle again for the seventh time on this horse and after a win at Al Uqda and a close second at Meydan it looks like he’s stepped up a level now three-years-old.
He’s very consistent and 90% of the time makes the frame at least, including close behind Rashabar at Royal Ascot, before going on to win at that course a month later in the Class 1 Pat Edery.
Should be up there and makes a solid each-way bet.
