Jeans Braddy Wokorach is adamant the he and teammates have only one mission when they start their title defence on Monday with a home clash against Mbarara City at Wankulukuku.

The SC Villa number one is also aware of the expectation fans have in them but they are under no pressure but ready to deliver.

“We are here as defending champions and people expect a lot from us,” he started. “And that is not our problem and we are under no pressure as we know what to do,” he added.

“Mbarara City is a tricky, tough opponent but we have prepared well, well-motivated, good fitness levels and the only thing on mind is to start on a high.”

It will be Morley Byekwaso’s first test of league football as the Jogoos head coach after replacing Dusan Stojanovic who he assisted in the title winning campaign.

Francis Onekalit, Johnson Ssenyonga, Sula Matovu and other new signings will be required to supplement Charles Lwanga and company especially in search of desired goals – an area Villa have lacked even in the past campaign.

For Mbarara City coached by ex-Villa star Livingstone Mbabazi, Joseph Akandwanaho and Henry Kitegenyi will be vital in the attacking areas if the Ankole Lions are to leave with maximum points.
