The Philadelphia Eagles finally got their revenge for their 2023 Super Bowl loss to the Kansas City Chiefs.

The Eagles put in one of the most dominant performances in recent Super Bowl history on Sunday night, dethroning the back-to-back world champion Chiefs with an emphatic 40-22 victory inside the Caesars Superdome.

Superstar running back Saquon Barkley capped off a historic first season in Philly. He led the Eagles’ locker room celebrations and proved he’s just as much of a force with a beer in his hands as he is a football.

A shirtless Barkley proved himself to be an elite shotgunner of beer in viral videos that circulated on social media after the Eagles’ victory.

Barkley can be seen opening the beer can and shredding it in less than two seconds.

Earlier, he had ripped a beer can open with his bare teeth as the likes of Eagles GM Howie Roseman and $5.3 billion team owner Jeffrey Lurie danced in the background and Super Bowl MVP Jalen Hurts partied with a cigar in his mouth.

“He deserves every second of this!” wrote one fan.

“He’s going so crazy!” added another.

“Saquon is the man!” wrote another.

Barkley had a relatively quiet night by his lofty standards this season.

The explosive back finished with a modest 57 yards on what was his 28th birthday, but the total was still enough to set the NFL single-season rushing record, postseason included, topping the mark of 2,476 yards set by Terrell Davis.

Barkley’s 2-yard run in the second quarter of Super Bowl LIX put him ahead of Davis’ mark which he set for the Denver Broncos in 1998.

Barkley finished the game with 57 rushing yards on 25 carries, giving him 2,504 rushing yards combined between the regular season and playoffs.

“Hell of a year, right? I couldn’t do it without the big boys up front, everyone on this team. I just appreciate them – the whole Eagles organization,” Barkley said.

“Of me being a newcomer, welcoming me in with open arms and helping build confidence back in me too. That was definitely helpful.

“It was a hell of a year, but all of the numbers and stats or records are cool, but the best thing is to be able to hold that Lombardi Trophy.”

Barkley, the AP NFL Offensive Player of the Year, finished with 2,005 yards rushing in the regular season, making him just the ninth running back in NFL history to top 2,000 yards as he entered the Super Bowl with 2,447 total rushing yards.

Barkley’s seven touchdowns of 60-plus yards (that includes the postseason) were a record and he joined Davis as one of only two players in NFL history with at least 400 yards rushing and five touchdowns in a single postseason.

“It’s special,” Barkley said earlier this week of the opportunity to break the rushing record. “I can’t do it without my teammates. … The record is cool and all, but the main thing is winning the Super Bowl. That’s our mindset.”

After leaving the New York Giants in the offseason and signing a three-year contract with the Eagles for $37.75 million and $26 million guaranteed, Barkley finally gets his hands on the Vince Lombardi Trophy.

“She looked prettier in person, I’ll tell you that,” Barkley said. “Something that you dream of. I’m just happy to hold it, be able to give it a kiss.”
