Bryson DeChambeau found himself in the middle of another stunning victory.

The 2024 US Open winner went viral on Wednesday, as the United States of America was waking up to the fact that Donald Trump was set to return to the White House.

During a US presidential speech that became an early victory celebration, the 78-year-old Trump was surrounded on stage by UFC CEO Dana White and family members.

But it was a quick (and awkward) glimpse of DeChambeau that stole the show on the internet.

“We have up here today the US Open champion — he’s a fantastic golfer,” Trump said.

“Obviously he hits the ball slightly longer than me — just a little bit.

Bryson DeChambeau is up here some place.”

The 45th and soon-to-be 47th US president eagerly looked to the right and left, searching for DeChambeau during a live speech that was being broadcast across the world.

“What happened to Bryson?” Trump said.

“Where is he? Bryson!

“Oh, he was shy.

“He’s hitting balls! He’s on the way — he’s hitting balls.”

One of the best golfers on the globe eventually appeared on stage, slowly walking up a set of stairs before acknowledging Trump.

“He’s got a great career going,” Trump said. “Great US Open, Bryson!”

Wearing a black ‘Make America Great Again’ hat, DeChambeau was cheered by the crowd.

Then White was mentioned by Trump and the celebratory speech continued in Florida.

DeChambeau shares a strong golfing connection with Trump.

In July, the big-swinging LIV golfer teased an episode of his Break 50 series with Trump by posting: “It’s time for @therealdonaldtrump to show YouTube what he’s got.”

When current US President Joe Biden was running against Trump earlier this year, DeChambeau offered to settle their back and forth on the course.

“Let’s settle this whole handicap debate, I’ll host the golf match on my YouTube @realDonaldTrump @JoeBiden,” DeChambeau posted.

DeChambeau has used the power of YouTube to re-invent himself, also making appearances with John Daly and Phil Mickelson.

On Wednesday, DeChambeau suddenly found himself on stage with Trump and White, just before Trump won the 2024 US election.

The election could have a very real impact on the professional world of golf, given Trump’s connection to the Saudi-backed LIV Golf tour.

Rory McIlroy claimed Trump’s victory could ‘clear the path’ for a deal between the PGA Tour and the Saudi Public Investment Fund, which is thought to be close.

“Given today’s news with what’s happened in America, I think that clears the way a little bit. So we’ll see,” McIlroy said on Wednesday.
