Asaph Mwebaze is a relieved man for now after Mbale Heroes FC overcame Soltilo Bright Stars FC on Friday at the Mbale City Ground.

The coach has been under immense pressure since returning to the club over a month ago because of failure to get positive results.

Mwebaze was re-appointed on 16th October and has been in charge of five league games since then, losing three and drawing the other two.

Therefore, he needed a good result to not only regain the trust of the fans but also get the season back on the rails for Mbale Heroes.

In today’s game, Cosia Waiswa scored the lone goal to guide the Surgeons to their second win of the season.

It should be noted that the first win came against SC Villa and Waiswa scored the all important goal in that game as well.

The result lifts Mbale Heroes of the base of the table but remain in the drop zone in 14th position on 8 points.

Soltilo Bright Stars FC on the other hand drop to rock bottom on six points.
