Stephen Bunting had an incredible night in Berlin, beating Nathan Aspinall moments after hitting a nine-dart leg in the practice room.
Bunting has had a miserable time on the Premier League stage so far, having yet to win a match on any of the previous eight nights.

‘The Bullet’ rolled up to night nine of the campaign in Berlin, Germany hoping to turn his fortunes around.
It was quite clear he had flown to foreign soil with huge confidence, which became evident in the practice room.
‘The Bullet’ was backstage waiting to step up to the oche, when he rolled up to the practice board putting in two maximums.
The two 180’s set his tone as he pointed to the camera in celebration on both occasions.
Bunting then rattled in the remaining score and couldn’t believe his luck, delighted while celebrating.
He decided to celebrate as if he was Jude Bellingham, and it was a much needed boost to step on stage.
And his bright form continued under the lights as he faced ‘The Asp’ in the quarter final.
Bunting raced to an incredible 6-2 victory, his first of the Premier League Darts campaign.
The win also saw him end an ten-year wait for a win in the invitational tournament, with his last coming in 2015.
He averaged 103.4 on the night and it was one of his best performances to date against a misfiring Aspinall.

Bunting came rock bottom in the 2015 instalment of the Premier League.
And he will hope to now try and push on and spark a renaissance in this year’s competition, after finally getting off the mark.
Earlier in the campaign after continuing his pointless run with defeat to Chris Dobey in Cardiff, he had issued an emotional statement on his lack of form.
He wrote: “Absolutely gutted. So sorry to all who support me.
“Practised so well tonight and unfortunately it just didn’t happen on the stage. I’ll keep giving it my all guys and keep believing.
“I’m making myself so nervous because I care and want to perform to my best instead of just relaxing and letting it happen.
“See you all next week. I’ll work hard and make sure I’ll improve.”
Bunting is a hugely popular player and hope will be that he can make a rise up the table.
The Liverpudlian may have left it too late to try and push towards the play-offs, but it isn’t yet mathematically impossible.
