While the Eagles prepared to host the Jacksonville Jaguars at Lincoln Financial Field, one of the most famous actors in Hollywood worked his way through a big crowd.

Even the NFL’s social media accounts appeared to be shocked by the sight of an 81-year-old De Niro engaging with Eagles fans, who are among the most passionate in sports.

“Robert De Niro showed up at an @Eagles tailgate,” the NFL tweeted.

A smiling DeNiro was pictured surrounded by Philly believers and huge amounts of tailgate food.

The star of “The Godfather Part II,” “Taxi Driver” and “Raging Bull” made his pregame appearance days before the 2024 United States presidential election.

De Niro is not a big fan of former president Donald Trump.

But the “Goodfellas” star also could be a huge Jalen Hurts supporter.

“Nice moment,” one fan tweeted.

“Doing some research for Silver Lining Playbook 2,” a second fan wrote.

“Legend,” a third fan posted.

“Philly tailgate is ELITE,” a fourth fan said.

The Eagles were 5-2 entering Week 9 and trying to keep pace with the Washington Commanders in the NFC East.

While Nick Sirianni has had some issues as Philly’s coach — his shaved head had a “Taxi Driver” look — Hurts has kept the Eagles moving forward in 2024.

Video footage later showed DeNiro giving a speech at the tailgate.

He also starred in “Heat,” “Midnight Run” and “The King of Comedy.”

“He is a very good actor,” one fan tweeted. “Love his movies.”

“Did he try to method act as a die-hard Eagles fan or was he just there for the cheesesteaks?” a second fan posted.
