The 2025 Super Bowl is already not too far away as the NFL’s best teams compete for a place in one of sport’s biggest events.
Last season, the Kansas City Chiefs became the first team to win back-to-back Super Bowls since the New England Patriots in 2004.

Led by Patrick Mahomes, the Chiefs made history, and now they’re looking to book a place back in the big game to make it three from three.
The Detroit Lions and Minnesota Vikings are both aiming for a place in the Super Bowl after good starts to the season too, as are the Baltimore Ravens.
Each team will need to keep up their good form to reach the playoffs which begin in January and secure a spot in New Orleans come February.
Here’s all you need to know ahead of the 59th edition of the Super Bowl…

Super Bowl 2025: Stadium
Caesars Superdome in New Orleans is hosting the Super Bowl this year.
The stadium, which was built in 1975 and has a capacity of 83,000, is home to the New Orleans Saints.
It will be the eighth Super Bowl held there, which extends the stadium’s lead as the venue to host this game the most.
The last time the game was played in New Orleans was in 2013 when the Baltimore Ravens beat the San Francisco 49ers.
Other teams to win at the stadium include the New England Patriots, Green Bay Packers, Chicago Bears, Oakland Raiders and Dallas Cowboys.

Super Bowl 2025: Logo
The Super Bowl 2025 logo was designed by Tahj Williams, an artist from New Orleans.
It is the first time ever that the NFL have worked with a local artist to create the logo rather than using someone from their own organisation.
The logo includes the Vince Lombardi trophy and LIX coloured in bright red, pink and lime green and was revealed after the last Super Bowl in February.
And the NFL captioned a video of its creation: “For the first time ever, the NFL collaborated with a local artist on the creation of a Super Bowl logo.
“The artist who created our new logo, Tahj Williams, is the queen of her Black Masking Indian tribe in New Orleans, the home of Super Bowl LIX.
“With a beading tradition and culture that dates back to the birth of the nation, the Black Masking Indian tribe uses methods passed down for generations, and Tahj painstakingly built the Super Bowl LIX Logo bead by bead.”
Super Bowl 2025: Half-time performer
Kendrick Lamar will be the Super Bowl LIX half-time performer.
The 17-time Grammy-winning rapper is set to put on his own show after featuring as a guest performer with Dr Dre and Snoop Dogg in 2022.
Speaking after the performance was announced, Lamar said: “Rap music is still the most impactful genre to date.
“And I’ll be there to remind the world why. They got the right one.”
He will follow in the footsteps of Usher who performed last year while music icons Prince, Michael Jackson and Beyonce have all also had the honour.

Super Bowl 2025: How to buy tickets
Tickets to the Super Bowl are the most sought-after in sport.
The NFL splits ticket sales in three ways, with some being given to the two participating teams’ fans while some are given to other teams in the league.
Fans can also enter a prize draw for the tickets. Details are yet to be confirmed but this draw will likely take place closer to the date.
It is incredibly tough to buy tickets that way, so getting second-hand is another possibility.
But the prices are unbelievably high, with the cheapest ticket price for last year’s game selling for around $6,000 / £4,600.
The most expensive ticket was around $22,000 / £17,000.
At the moment for the 2025 game, the cheapest tickets are standing at $5,000 / £3,800 while hospitality tickets are around $7,5000 / £5,800.
