Posting on social media, Heta joked that he was ‘taking out some frustration’ using golf balls with Humphries’ face on.

“Taking out some frustration on my new golf balls” he wrote.

“Well done @lukeh180 on the win but I think it’s time you have a gap year & go & enjoy your winnings.”

Heta, a top pro on the PDC darts circuit, jokingly suggested that Luke Humphries ‘take a gap year’ after his recent triumph at the World Masters.

The win marks yet another milestone for the 29-year-old, who now boasts seven major titles in just two years and holds a commanding £800,000 lead over Luke Littler as world No. 1.

Despite a surprise defeat to Peter Wright at Ally Pally, Humphries’ dominance in the sport remains a constant.

Last week, he powered past opponents Joe Cullen, Josh Rock, Danny Noppert, and Jonny Clayton to claim his first World Masters title — often cruising through matches seemingly without needing to shift into top gear.

Aussie darts star Heta, whom Humphries defeated in Milton Keynes, jokingly aired his frustration on the golf course.

Known as ‘The Heat’, Heta posted a playful photo on X on Monday, holding a golf ball with a photoshopped image of Humphries’ face. =

While Littler continues to garner attention in the sport, Humphries has been on an unprecedented tear, amassing just over £1.9million in ranking prize money.

As fans and rivals have urged him to enjoy his hard-earned cash, ‘Cool Hand’ is nearing a huge career milestone: surpassing £2m in earnings.

Should Humphries triumph at the UK Open, he could do so.

He admitted to Sports Boom, “I better win the UK Open now, hadn’t I.”

“It obviously would be really nice to do that. It’s not like a goal that you’re looking at and thinking I need to do that.”

Humphries also acknowledged the sport’s growing prize pot, with some predicting it to surpass £1m soon.

“The prize money in the world of darts is just going to go up and up over the next few years.

“Soon it will be a common thing, so someone is going to reach £2million whether I do it or not. But I’d like to be the first one to do it.”
