Former Chelsea boss Graham Potter makes his return to Stamford Bridge with West Ham on Monday night, with the Blues looking to get moving back in the right direction.

A 3-1 loss at Manchester City last weekend was a setback for Enzo Maresca’s side, who slid to sixth after that defeat and have won just once in their last seven Premier League outings.

Potter could sense the chance for revenge on his former employers, but his side have won once in four matches. Can either side improve their wayward form?

Chelsea vs West Ham Betting Tips

  • Betting Tip 1 – Chelsea to win and both teams to score @ 6/4
  • Betting Tip 2 – Nicolas Jackson to score first @ 17/4

Match Odds: Chelsea 3/10, Draw 19/4, West Ham 7/1

Team news

Chelsea continue to have issues at the heart of their defence, with Benoit Badiashile and Wesley Fofana ruled out for this contest. The Blues will also be without Romeo Lavia on Monday, meaning Moises Caicedo and Enzo Fernandez keep their places in the middle of the park.

Enzo Maresca has a decision to make in goal following Robert Sanchez’s terrible display at the Etihad last weekend. Filip Jorgensen has been his understudy all season, and is pushing for a starting role after the Spaniard’s poor form.

West Ham are hoping that Jarrod Bowen can return to full health ahead of this trip. He faces a late fitness test, alongside Lucas Paqueta and Crysencio Summerville.

The Hammers will be without Jean-Clair Todibo, Michail Antonio and Niclas Fullkrug.

Betting Tip 1: Chelsea to win and both teams to score @ 6/4

Chelsea picked up a 3-1 win over Wolves two weeks ago and they should be confident of seeing off the Hammers. The visitors have lost six of their seven encounters with the league’s top six, including a 3-0 hammering at home to the Blues.

Chelsea have picked up five wins from 11 home league games, with three of their slip-ups coming against the top four. Their underlying numbers have also been strong, with Maresca’s side second in terms of Expected Goals at home.

The Hammers have suffered four defeats in six, while they have failed to score in only two of their last 13 matches. Chelsea’s issues at the back have led to few clean sheets, with nine of their previous 10 Premier League home games seeing both teams score.

While Chelsea are the stronger side, West Ham should be able to get on the scoresheet.

Betting Tip 2: Nicolas Jackson to score first @ 17/4

Chelsea’s Nicolas Jackson doesn’t have a great reputation as a finisher, but he does consistently put himself in good positions.

The forward has failed to score in seven matches, but he has recorded 2.8 xG in that run, while providing two assists.

Jackson had two efforts against Man City last time out, getting both on target. He’s had a shot on target in five of his last six starts and the striker should see his fortunes turn before long.

The former Villarreal man has nine Premier League goals to his name and seven of those have been the opening goal. Given his work to set up Noni Madueke’s early strike at the Etihad last week, back Jackson’s form to turn with the opening goal against the Hammers.

Match Odds: Chelsea 3/10, Draw 19/4, West Ham 7/1
