There are a number of Nations League matches to look forward to on Friday, with Northern Ireland and Scotland among those countries in action.

Michael O’Neill’s men play host to Belarus in Belfast, while Croatia are the opponents for Scotland at Hampden Park.

There is also a big game in Group A4, as Denmark face Euro 2024 champions Spain.

Bet of the day

Northern Ireland to win to nil (90 mins) @ 11/10

Northern Ireland sit top of League C Group 3 with two games remaining – the first of which is a home clash with Belarus on Friday.

The Green and White Army have suffered just two defeats in their last nine matches in all competitions and will expect to extend that run against a Belarus team that has won only one of their last eight games.

O’Neill’s team have also lost just one of their four Nations League fixtures to date, with their success built around a solid defensive plan.

They have conceded just one goal in their four matches, with that coming in a 1-0 defeat in Bulgaria.

The hosts have kept four clean sheets in their last five games and it could be a similar story on Friday, with Belarus scoring just twice in eight matches.

Longshot of the Day

Scotland v Croatia – BTTS / Over 2.5 Cards / Croatia Double Chance @ 6/1

Having stepped up to the top tier of the Nations League, things have not worked out as Scotland would have hoped.

It always looked like a tough Group 1 draw, paired with Portugal, Croatia and Poland, but Steve Clarke’s side are still looking for their first win.

There has been just one draw from Scotland’s opening four matches, but that did come in their most recent clash – a 0-0 stalemate with Portugal.

With this being the Scots’ last home game of the competition, they will want to try and end on a high, which could lead to chances at both ends.

Having come from behind to beat Scotland 2-1 at home, Croatia drew 3-3 in Poland last time out, making it seven goals scored in four matches.

A win for the visitors will see them secure a top-two finish, with a home game against leaders Portugal still to come.

The two teams have collected 18 yellows between them in the tournament so far and it would be no surprise to see over 2.5 cautions in this clash.

Special of the Day

Denmark to score first and Spain to win @ 8/1

Spain are unbeaten in their opening four matches of League A Group 4, but face one of their toughest tests yet when they travel to Denmark on Friday.

The hosts are currently in second, three points behind the Spanish, and they have not lost any of their last 13 internationals on home soil.

The reverse fixture saw Spain win 1-0 in Murcia, but it took 79 minutes for the European champions to break the deadlock.

Denmark have taken the lead in their last two home games and they will certainly pose a threat to the visitors, who may have too much for them over the course of the 90 minutes.
