There are a number of mouthwatering league fixtures this weekend, but they don’t come much bigger than Chelsea’s trip to Manchester United on Sunday.
The pair have 18 titles between them in the Premier League era and, although they have fallen off the pace in recent years, the match is still a huge occasion, particularly as each side are looking to return to previous heights.
United are coming to terms with the sacking of Erik ten Hag earlier this week, having started life after the Dutchman with a 5-2 win over Leicester in the EFL Cup on Wednesday.
Chelsea lost 2-0 to Newcastle in the same competition, but they start this round of Premier League fixtures in much better shape, sitting sixth as opposed to United’s lowly 14th.
Matches between these two are rarely dull and this latest contest should not disappoint.

Manchester United v Chelsea Tips
Red Devils handed a new lease of life
United finally parted ways with the beleaguered Ten Hag at the start of the week and it looked like a huge weight had been lifted when the Red Devils hammered Leicester 5-2 in the EFL Cup on Wednesday evening.
There was a spring in the step of the United players for the first in a long while and that can help contribute to an entertaining contest at Old Trafford.
Matches between these two are rarely dull, but it is hard to trust either to pick up all three points, so a high-scoring draw looks the best betting proposition.
Five of the last eight meetings have finished in a draw and each of the last six match-ups have featured goals at both ends.
Chelsea approach this fixture as the better-performing side in the league this season, but the away side hasn’t won in this fixture since February 2020 and there is a good chance these two cancel each other out with both sides riddled with vulnerabilities.
Draw & both teams to score @ 17/5
Goals unlikely to be an issue
Each of the last six meetings have seen both teams score, with the last three match-ups finishing with scorelines of 4-3, 2-1 and 4-1.
And with both sides struggling to keep clean sheets, a 2-2 outcome looks like another solid bet in this Super Sunday showdown.
United have conceded exactly two goals in each of their last two matches, while the Blues have conceded twice in seven of their 15 fixtures this season, so a high-scoring draw looks a realistic correct score option.
2-2 correct score @ 19/2
Bruno coming out fighting
Bruno Fernandes has cut a forlorn figure for much of this campaign, but he looked more like his old self in the midweek win over Leicester in which he helped himself to two goals, his first strikes of the season.
The United skipper suddenly sparked into life and there could be more to come from the Portuguese playmaker, who looks a decent bet to get on the scoresheet at 19/10.
Fernandes bagged 24 goals for club and country last season and penalty duty could help to land this bet.
