Hearts to win at 23/20

Hearts had a rough start to this campaign, but their transformation in 2025 has been impressive. The Jambos lost six of their first eight matches, picking up only two points to leave them at the wrong end of the Scottish Premiership.

Since the turn of the year, Hearts have won five of six matches, earning a respectable point away to Aberdeen as well. The visitors head into Monday’s cup tie in a good spot, having beaten Brechin 4-1, Kilmarnock 3-2 and Dundee 6-0 across their previous three.

St Mirren are a place below Hearts in the table, but that’s come after a poor run. The hosts have suffered four defeats in five at home, which makes the in-form visitors look a great bet for a victory at 23/20.

Crystal Palace and Hearts to win to nil – 29/4

Hearts head into their fifth-round tie having kept four clean sheets in their previous six matches. They’ve recorded shutouts at Dundee United, Aberdeen and Dundee.

Opponents St Mirren have lost 1-0 in three of their previous five at home, while they’ve lost to nil in four of their previous six outings. The visitors won 4-0 when these sides met in November, so they’re also good value for a victory to nil on Monday.

Pair Hearts with a win and clean sheet for Crystal Palace at 29/4, with the Premier League Eagles in fantastic form.

Palace made a slow start under Olivier Glasner after a brilliant end to the 2023/24 campaign. Their revival this term has been built on more solid foundations, with the south London side having won four of their previous five matches to nil.

Doncaster lost 3-0 at Everton in this season’s Carabao Cup, so back them for another defeat to nil.

Ismaila Sarr to score first and Crystal Palace to win 2-0 at 25/1

Glasner named a strong side for Palace’s 1-0 win over Stockport in the last round. Jean-Philippe Mateta was the biggest name rested for that clash and he could sit out once more, putting the scoring burden onto winger Ismaila Sarr.

Sarr has four Premier League goals this term and he netted in a 4-0 victory over Norwich in the Carabao Cup. His quality should be a problem for the League Two hosts, so he can be backed to score the opener in this tempting 25/1 bet.

Palace have won their previous three road trips 2-0 and they triumphed that scoreline when these sides last met in 2019. Back the Eagles’ quality to tell and side with Sarr to strike first in another 2-0 victory.
