There is plenty of top-flight action to take in across Europe on Monday, including an intriguing Premier League clash between Nottingham Forest and winless Crystal Palace at the City Ground.

With matches also taking place in Serie A, La Liga and the Turkish Super Lig, it should be an exciting day of football, and we have picked out three bets to get your teeth into.

Bet of the day

Valencia to beat Las Palmas to nil @ 29/20

Two struggling sides meet in La Liga on Monday at the Mestalla, but, while Valencia have been showing signs of improvement over recent weeks, bottom of the table Las Palmas are still chasing their first win.

It was certainly not a great start to the season for Los Che, but they have only lost one of their last four games, keeping clean sheets in the other three, and will fancy their chances of shutting out a Las Palmas side who have only scored three times on the road this season and also drew a blank when going down 1-0 on home turf to Celta Vigo before the international break.

Las Palmas have a new manager in the dugout for this game, with Diego Martinez having replaced Luis Carrion over the international break, but he is taking over a side who have lost all four of their away matches this season and are without a win on their travels in La Liga since January – a run of 12 matches.

Valencia have also won their last three home meetings with Las Palmas to nil and they should extend that record to four on Monday night.

Special of the day

Nottingham Forest and Crystal Palace to draw and Chris Wood to score anytime @ 21/2

Nottingham Forest have made a strong start to the season, losing just one of their seven Premier League games to date, but no team has drawn more top-flight games than Nuno Espirito Santo’s side, who have shared the spoils on four occasions.

The Tricky Trees have also drawn three of their four home games across all competitions in 2024/25 – although they did lose one of those on penalties to Newcastle in the EFL Cup – and they could be involved in another close game when winless Crystal Palace head to the City Ground.

After ending last season in fine form, Palace have surprisingly struggled so far this term, failing to win any of their top-flight games to date, but they did gain a credible draw at Chelsea last month and can avoid defeat against Forest.

The last three meetings between these two sides have also ended all-square, including a 1-1 at the City Ground last season when Chris Wood salvaged a point for Forest.

Wood struck 14 times in total last season, 11 coming after Nuno’s arrival in December and he already has four goals to his name this term.

Combining the New Zealand international scoring with the match finishing a draw could, therefore, prove the way to go.

Long shot of the day

Correct Score Verona 1-1 Monza @ 5/1

Verona and Monza have shared the spoils in two of their last three meetings and they could do so again at the Stadio Marcantonio Bentegodi.

It has been a mixed start to the season for Verona, who snapped a three-game losing streak with victory over Venezia before the international break and they will start this match as favourites, but could end up being frustrated.

Monza are yet to win this season in Serie A, but they have drawn four of their seven games, taking points off Fiorentina, Inter Milan and Roma – the latter two games finishing 1-1.

Alessandro Nesta’s side are capable of avoiding defeat in this one as well and it could be another of their games that finishes 1-1, with these two teams having played out that result as recently as March 2023.
