The start of an international week requires us to dig deep when looking for football bets but there is still a tasty tussle in League Two to get stuck into, with Bradford hosting Newport County at Valley Parade in front of the Sky TV cameras.

There is also a crucial contest at the foot of the Argentina Primera Division and we’ve got some bets to help you through a busy day of football action.

Bet of the day

Newport or draw double chance – 31/20

Newport County have won their last two League Two matches and they look a touch of value to end a miserable sequence in meetings with Bradford City on Monday evening.

The Welsh outfit haven’t beaten the Bantams in six attempts and they were on the end of two 4-1 shellackings in the fourth tier last season.

But County appear to be on the up, and they ended their four-game losing streak with a 2-1 win over Crewe and an even more impressive 3-1 victory over big-spending Salford last Tuesday.

Newport’s away form is a cause for concern, but it looks to be a good time to take on the West Yorkshire side, who have won just one of their last six games amid something of an injury crisis.

County have lost eight of their last 10 league matches away from home, so keeping the draw on side would be prudent, but this looks a good opportunity to pick up a rare away success.

Special of the day

Aaron Wildig first goalscorer in Bradford v Newport County – 15/1

Newport County have scored 15 goals this term but that tally has been boosted by a recent flurry which has seen them bag in their last two matches.

Key to their upturn in output has been midfielder Aaron Wildig, who has helped himself to four goals in his last six outings.

Wildig scored in their 3-1 win over Salford last time out and scored in three straight matches towards the end of August and into September.

The 32-year-old has already matched his total for the whole of the past campaign and he looks a value each-way play to get his name on the scoresheet first this Monday.

Wildig bagged the only goal in the win over Morecambe and he could trouble a Bradford side who have kept just three clean sheets in 12 matches in all competitions this season.

Long shot of the day

Barracas Central to win 1-0 or 2-0 & over 9.5 corners – 17/2

Barracas Central have won just two of 16 matches in the second phase of the Argentina Primera Division, but they beat Independiente Rivadavia back in the first phase in March, and could repeat the feat on Monday evening.

It was 3-1 to Barracas on that occasion and they will be desperate to improve their situation at the bottom of the standings with just 11 matches remaining.

Barracas were edged out 2-1 by Central Cordoba last time out but had previously won away at Insituto and performances have been steadily improving.

That victory in March featured 12 corners so backing Barracas to secure a narrow win with at least ten corners being taken looks a great value betting option.
