Bet of the day
Liverpool to win and Both Teams to Score v Brighton @ 7/5
Liverpool survived a late scare in midweek as they saw off Brighton 3-2 at the AmEx Stadium in the Carabao Cup and the Reds can go two-for-two against the Seagulls when hosting their south coast opposition at Anfield.
Arne Slot’s men have won five of their six home matches this season in all competitions and are currently on a 10 match unbeaten run, including nine victories and a solitary draw (2-2 v Arsenal).
Brighton have lost two of their last five matches across league and cup obligations but they find themselves in an impressive sixth place in the Premier League, with seven of their 16 points taken on the road.
Fabian Hurzeler’s men have only failed to score in one match all season and they could still find the net against an Alisson-less Liverpool. However, the form of the Reds should see them through in this contest.
Special of the day
Over 2.5 goals and Lois Openda to score in Borussia Dortmund v RB Leipzig @ 19/10
The late kick-off in the Bundesliga on Saturday sees Borussia Dortmund host RB Leipzig in a hotly-anticipated contest and a close encounter is expected between the two giants.
Dortmund have not been at their best in the league this season – with Nuri Sahin’s side seventh in the table after losing three of their opening eight games – but they have won all four of their home Bundesliga matches so far, scoring 12 goals in the process.
Leipzig on the other hand are one of two unbeaten sides in the division, alongside Bayern Munich, and have claimed some impressive results this season – including a 3-2 win at reigning champions Bayer Leverkusen.
The attacking qualities of both sides should shine on Saturday and one man who will back himself to find the net is Leipzig striker Lois Openda. The Belgian scored twice in that victory over Leverkusen and has five league goals to his name already this season, so back him to bag in a high-scoring affair.
Long shot of the day
Cardiff City to win and Callum Robinson to score anytime @ 15/4
Cardiff started the new Championship in awful fashion, losing six and drawing one of their opening seven league games, but the Bluebirds have found form in recent weeks and could stun play-off chasing Norwich.
Caretaker boss Omer Riza has won three of his last five matches in charge of the Welsh club, avoiding defeat in each, and has helped propel Cardiff out of the relegation zone and into 20th position.
Home advantage could help them topple a Norwich side that has won just one of their last five and striker Callum Robinson could also be key in deciding the result. The Irishman has netted in each of his last two home appearances and could continue this hot streak on Saturday.
