Outside of England, there are five matches from the lower leagues in Scotland, a Coppa Italia game featuring Juventus and an international friendly between Saudi Arabia and Trinidad and Tobago. Here are our three best bets for Tuesday’s games.

Bet of the Day

Blackpool to beat Aston Villa U21 half-time/full-time @ 5/4

Aston Villa’s U21 side are the only remaining academy team in the EFL Trophy, as they prepare to visit Blackpool on Tuesday.

The Villains made a bright start in this competition, with a win at Fleetwood and a penalty shootout victory at Bolton, before succumbing to a 3-0 loss at Barrow.

That result against Barrow was one of five successive defeats for Villa’s youngsters, who were behind at the break in all of those losses as well.

With Blackpool having won three of their last four games, it looks as if they too will be able to tie up victory early against their youthful opponents.

Special of the Day

Juventus and Cagliari to draw @ 31/10

Juventus extended their unbeaten start to their Serie A season over the weekend, yet they remain off the pace in the title battle.

The reason is the amount of games that they are drawing, with 10 of the Old Lady’s 16 league fixtures ending all-square.

Juve have now drawn four successive league games and back in October they were frustrated by Cagliari, who scored a late equaliser to draw 1-1 at the Allianz Stadium.

The visitors were narrowly beaten 1-0 by Serie A leaders Atalanta over the weekend, leaving them firmly in a relegation battle.

They drew 3-3 with AC Milan back in November and, like Juventus, are prone to draws.

The price for another draw after 90 minutes looks generous on Tuesday, especially considering that, at the very least, this game should be tight.

Long Shot of the Day

Peterborough to beat Northampton 2-0 @ 15/2

Back to the English Football League Trophy, where there’s an all-League One clash between Peterborough and Northampton.

These teams met in the third tier earlier this month, with Northampton enjoying a rare victory with a 2-1 result at the Sixfields Stadium.

It is their only win from the last eight games, with the 19th-placed side also without a victory from their last seven away matches.

Northampton have failed to score in three of their last four games on the road and now travel to a Peterborough team that are the holders of this trophy.

Though 13th-placed Posh are erratic in League One, they have defeated Gillingham,

Stevenage and the Crystal Palace U21 side in this competition and are worth backing to produce a solid victory on Tuesday.
