The high-pressure games continue on Tuesday, with matches from the Premier League and La Liga to look forward to.

This season’s battle to secure Champions League football looks set to go right down to the wire in the Premier League and Manchester City’s clash with Aston Villa on Tuesday night will have a big say on who will be playing elite European football next term.

Meanwhile, in the Spanish top flight, games between Valencia and Espanyol, along with Barcelona against Mallorca will also provide selections for Tuesday’s football tips.

Tuesday football betting tips

Bet of the day

Aston Villa to beat Manchester City @ 3/1

Villa can take a huge step towards securing a top-five finish when they make the trip to Manchester City.

The Villans go into this game on the back of an impressive 4-1 hammering of fellow top-five hopefuls Newcastle United at Villa Park.

City, meanwhile, laboured to a 2-0 win at Everton, needing two late goals to see off a resilient Toffees side at Goodison Park.

Villa earned a 2-1 win over Pep Guardiola’s side earlier this season and Unai Emery’s men look to be good value to come away from the Etihad Stadium with the three points.

Special of the day

Valencia v Espanyol: Bet Builder – Draw and both teams to score @ 19/5

There’s been very little separating Valencia and Espanyol in recent years and the fact both teams sit on 38 points is testament to that.

Looking back at the recent meetings between these sides, there’s a clear trend of how games between these sides tend to play out.

The last four encounters between Valencia and Espanyol have ended in draws, with both teams getting on the scoresheet.

It’s little wonder then why the draw and both teams to score, for what would be the fifth game in a row, catches the eye at 17/4 in this one at the Mestalla.

Long shot of the day

Barcelona v Mallorca: Bet Builder – Barcelona to win to nil and Raphinha and Ferran Torres both to score anytime @ 13/2

Barcelona will look to extend their lead of title rivals Real Madrid when they host Mallorca at the Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys on Tuesday night.

The Blaugrana won to nil in their last two home games against Mallorca and it would be little surprise to see that trend continue in this one.

Raphinha has been enjoying a remarkable season and his brace against Celta Vigo last time out saw the Brazilian move to 15 La Liga goals for the campaign.

Scoring two goals in a 5-1 win at Mallorca earlier this season, Raphinha getting on the scoresheet again forms part of this longshot bet-builder selection.

Completing the tip, Ferran Torres also gets the nod in the anytime goalscorer market.

The Spaniard scored the opening goal in that win at Mallorca back in December, while he also scored the opening goal against Celta Vigo last time out.

Looking to add to his 10 La Liga goals for the campaign so far, back Torres to strike once again against Los Pirates.
