Aston Villa to win to nil v Bologna @ 29/20
Aston Villa have started their maiden Champions League campaign in impressive fashion and they can continue their unbeaten start in style by defeating a Bologna side who are yet to get going on the continental stage.
The Villans got off the mark impressively on matchday one with a 3-0 victory in Switzerland against Young Boys before producing one of the results of the tournament with a 1-0 home win over German giants Bayern Munich, in a repeat of the 1982 European Cup final.
Bologna, on the other hand, have struggled in the early exchanges of the competition, with the Greyhounds held to a drab goalless draw by Shakhtar Donetsk before falling to a 2-0 defeat to Liverpool in their last European fixture.
Form is on the side of the Villans and, with Unai Emery’s men yet to concede as well as Bologna failing to find the net in this year’s Champions League, a home shutout victory looks a real possibility.
Special of the day
Arsenal to win to nil and over 2.5 goals v Shakhtar Donetsk @ 6/4
Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal are yet to taste defeat in this Champions League campaign after two tricky opening games and they will be expected to secure all three points in a comparatively easier fixture when they host Shakhtar Donetsk on Tuesday.
The Gunners held Europa League winners Atalanta to a goalless draw to start off their latest European adventure before seeing off French champions Paris Saint-Germain 2-0 at the Emirates Stadium.
Their defensive strength should shine once again when they face the Ukrainian champions, who are yet to score after their opening two continental encounters and are outside the play-off positions on goal difference.
Arsenal’s quality should see them past the visitors with relative ease and they could run away with things in North London.
Three of their last four matches at the Emirates Stadium have seen a minimum of three goals scored and so combining this with a shutout victory looks a good option.
Long shot of the day
Stuttgart to win v Juventus @ 3/1
Juventus are two-from-two so far in the Champions League this season, but they could be in for a difficult evening when they host Stuttgart.
The Old Lady overcame PSV Eindhoven 3-1 in their opening home fixture of the competition, before edging past RB Leipzig in a thriller in Germany.
However, they have failed to score more than once in three of their last four home matches and they could struggle to run away with things.
Stuttgart are yet to win, losing 3-1 to Real Madrid and being held to a 1-1 draw by Sparta Prague, but they have scored more goals on the road this season than Juve have managed at home.
Should they have their shooting boots on, they could be capable of causing an upset.
