After over 40 years of fandom, one Tottenham supporter is ready to throw in the towel.
A 1-0 loss to Chelsea on Thursday appeared to be the straw that broke the camel’s back for Spurs fan Adam.

He called into talkSPORT’s Sports Bar with Jamie O’Hara and Jason Cundy to discuss the match.
Adam declared watching Tottenham on TV or at their home ground has ‘taken all the joy out’ of supporting his beloved club and is ‘dreading’ Sunday’s clash against last-placed Southampton.
Thanks to the north London outfit’s continued struggles, Adam told former Tottenham midfielder O’Hara and Cundy he had made a ‘pledge’ and hoped the duo were ‘sitting down’ for his staggering reveal.
“So, what other decision do you make when you’re six or seven years old that you’re stuck with for life,” Adam said.
“The cult of the cockerel I’ve been in, at 44 years old.
“So, if we don’t win the Europa League, I’m changing allegiance to another London club.”
It’s a minor miracle O’Hara and Cundy didn’t fall backwards on their chairs out of pure and utter shock.
Cundy refused to believe Adam would do such a thing while O’Hara replied: “I don’t think you’ll be welcome, mate.
“I think you need to stick through it. You can’t change your team. Through thick and thin.
“You can change your wife, but you can’t change your team.”

Even ex-Spurs man O’Hara was baffled at the prospect of Adam wanting to switch teams[/caption]
Cundy cheekily added: “You’re like a leper, mate. No-one wants you.”
Adam revealed he’d even picked out his new club to support and would go to watch them as soon as May 5.
“I’m going to go down to Crystal Palace versus Nottingham Forest,” Adam said.
“Next season, I’m not going to be singing about [Dejan] Kulusevski. I’m going to be singing ‘Glad All Over.’”
Cundy reminded Adam that one does not choose their club, rather ‘your club chooses you’.
He added: “There’s a law. There’s not a handbook, but there’s an unwritten law you cannot change your club.”

Perhaps it was the fact Ange Postecoglou set an unwanted record on Thursday as the primary reason behind Adam’s baffling pledge.
The loss to Chelsea ensured Postecoglou became the first-ever Tottenham manager to lose all of his first four league games against the Blues while in charge of the club.
It also left the north London side languishing in 14th and equal on 34 points with Everton and West Ham United.
But a win over the Saints on Sunday could provide some much-needed momentum going into the first leg of their Europa League quarter-final against Eintracht Frankfurt next Thursday.
Who knows, it may even be enough to change Adam’s mind about wanting to follow the Eagles.
