Steve Kerr will need a while to get over this one.

The head coach of the Golden State Warriors‘ dynasty and Team USA’s recent gold medal in the 2024 Summer Olympics exited the Toyota Center in Houston in total disbelief.

“I’ve never seen that,” said a furious Kerr, after the Warriors lost 91-90 to the surging Rockets on Wednesday.

Kerr shredded NBA refs and didn’t hold back, throwing verbal jab after verbal jab, and creating a sideline meme that could soon take over NBA social media.

“That is unconscionable,” Kerr said.

“I don’t even understand what just happened.

“You’re going to call a loose ball foul on a jump ball situation with guys diving on the floor?

“This is a billion-dollar industry. You’ve got people’s jobs on the line.

“I am stunned — I am stunned.”

So was the Inside the NBA crew, with host Ernie Johnson joking that “somebody pulled the plug over there in Houston.”

“I agree with him,” Shaquille O’Neal said. “The problem we have with refs, as players and fans, is consistency.”

Jalen Green sank two free throws with 3.5 seconds left to push the Rockets to the NBA Cup semifinals in Las Vegas.

The Rockets ended up with it and Golden State received a game-changing foul[/caption]

Those game-winning baskets were set up by a chaotic scene that involved the Warriors and Rockets both diving on the hardwood.

A foul was assessed to Golden State’s Jonathan Kuminga during the chaos, and Kerr couldn’t believe the Rockets received the late advantage from the refs.

“Steve so p*****,” one fan tweeted.

“As he should, that call was weak!” a second fan posted.

“Refs need to do better, for sure,” a third fan wrote.

“HUGE fine incoming but he spittin facts,” a fourth fan posted.

The Rockets improved to 17-8 with the tough win and will face Oklahoma City Thunder in the Western semifinals of the NBA Cup at the weekend.

The Milwaukee Bucks will meet the Atlanta Hawks in the Eastern semifinal.

Meanwhile, Golden State falls to 14-10 after a night when Steph Curry scored 19 points but the seething Warriors fell a couple points short.

Houston has been the surprise team of the NBA this season.

The Rockets are in second place in the Western Conference and only trail Shai Gilgeous-Alexander’s Oklahoma City Thunder.
