Liv Morgan put on a show inside the Elimination Chamber – and she walked away with serious battle scars and bruises to prove it.
The WWE star entered the brutal structure as one of six female competitors vying for a championship match at WrestleMania 41.
She started the match alongside Naomi, knowing there would be at least four others entering the action later on.
Morgan outlasted her first challenger, as well as Bayley, Alexa Bliss and Roxanne Perez, to ensure she was one of the final two competitors remaining in the match.
But in the end, it was Bianca Belair who punched her ticket to ‘Mania, pinning her rival after 30 minutes of frantic action.
The ‘EST of WWE’ will go on to challenge for the Women’s World Championship in Las Vegas next month, while Morgan will hope to recover from her injuries in the coming days.
Taking to social media soon after the Elimination Chamber match, Morgan showed off her bruises in a selfie that was simply captioned ‘wrestling’.
She also added a black heart to the post.
In the photo, Morgan is seen with heavily bruised forearms.
There is also a scar on her stomach, which is believed to be from Belair whipping her long braid directly into her midriff.
She was caught as the pair battled on top of one of the chamber pods, and the Toronto crowd gasped loudly as Morgan cowered in pain before falling back down to the ring.
Many fans also shared footage of the moment on social media, which quickly went viral.
“The most memorable part of the match. Absolutely thunderous crack of the braid,” one person wrote.
“Liv puts herself through hell and back for every match, she was the MVP,” another said.
“That sound was brutal, and Liv’s welt proves it. Insane moment,” a third added.
Some fans, bizarrely, even suggested Belair’s braid whip was so brutal that she should not be allowed to use her signature move in future.
“It’s kinda f***ed up she’s the only wrestler with a weapon,” one person said, while another argued: ‘That braid needs to be banned’.
“That’s a weapon, why have they always allowed a face to use a weapon? It makes her a heel,” a third suggested.
Despite taking a hard shot from Belair, Morgan is not expected to miss any time due to her injuries as WWE continues to build towards WrestleMania.
And while the Women’s Elimination Chamber match was one of the highlights of Saturday’s event, it was John Cena who stole the show by turning heel against Cody Rhodes.
The wrestling legend, who had been an untouchable face for more than two decades, will finally have a run as the villain after aligning himself with The Rock.
