Not many people can exude extreme confidence in front of a former president.

Anthony Edwards is not like most people.

The Minnesota Timberwolves superstar saw his stock rise over the summer as he helped Team USA capture its fifth-straight gold medal at the Paris Olympics.

Never short on confidence, Edwards made sure to make it known to former President of the United States, Barack Obama, that he is indeed a special talent.

Netflix’s docuseries, ‘Court of Gold’, highlighted an interaction between President Obama and Team USA before they headed off to Paris.

And Edwards took center stage.

The clip included Obama chatting with Edwards and Joel Embiid, when the former president asked the Philadelphia big man if the 23-year-old kid could “hoop a little bit.”

“What do you think about this young guy?” Obama asked Embiid. “He can hoop a little but, huh?”

“Man, y’all better stand down,” Edwards flatly responded.

“I’m the truth.”

Obama then gathered LeBron James and Kevin Durant around him to playfully confirm whether or not Edwards was indeed ‘the truth.’

“The truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth,” James said.

“Nothing wrong with that,” Durant answered. “He ain’t lying.”

“Ant-Man is the truth,” James continued.

In a room with Obama, James, Durant and the rest of Team USA, it was Edwards who stole the show.

Just like he has been starting to do on the court, as he has grown into one of not only the NBA’s best players, but also the world’s.

The internet ate the clip up.

“Buddy checking Obama, Ant the truth,” one fan posted on X.

“Love the confidence,” another fan noted.

“He’s gonna be respected in any room for that!” more fans chimed in.

“The audacity, Ant is a national treasure.”

Edwards hasn’t even sniffed his prime yet, but has already made believers out of some of the greatest basketball players of all time.

And President Obama.

Not too bad for a 23-year-old.
