As we eagerly anticipate the 11th edition of Watoto Wasoka’s annual Christmas Camp, the excitement is visible as we prepare for yet another thrilling week of football, fun, and friends.
Running from 28th December 2024 to 4th January 2025, this year’s camp will be hosted at the famous Jinja Senior Secondary School (Jinja SS).
This will definitely provide an attractive and vibrant setting for the festival.
The camp continues to uphold its esteemed legacy of bringing together children from diverse regions of Uganda to celebrate the essence of football and the invaluable values it instils.

Since 2011, the Christmas Camp has evolved into a unique platform where more than 3,000 young people and aspiring coaches converge for an unforgettable eight-day experience.
Beyond the thrill of football, the camp offers a comprehensive approach to personal development.
Participants will have the opportunity to refine their football skills and engage in enriching workshops focused on leadership, teamwork, and essential life skills, equipping them for the challenges both on and off the pitch.
The Christmas Camp is renowned for fostering fierce yet friendly competition, which has given rise to some of Uganda’s most promising football stars and teams.

Notable past winners include celebrated teams such as Sparta 09 (Lungujja), God is Able (Gayaza), Awakula Enume (Mutundwe), Naminya SA (Kayunga), Andy Mwesigwa (Jinja), Nansana Hotspurs, Super Heroes Soccer Academy (Kawempe), ProWay SA (Kawempe), MSCASDA (Kisenyi), Oxford (Iganga), Everton Soccer Academy (Kawempe), Big Talent Soccer Academy (Makindye), Janan School (Bombo), and Katale SA (Bunamwaya).
Each edition of the camp serves as a platform for acknowledging the excellence and potential of young players, many of whom have gone on to pursue successful professional football careers, including the likes of Travis Mutyaba, Kizza Mustafa, Sam Ssenyonjo, Sabiri Yasinta, Mugume Ashraf, Rogers Mato, Elvis Ssekajugo, Farouq Tumwesigye and numerous others.
