Amanda Serrano has withdrawn her accusation that Katie Taylor cheated in their rematch.
Taylor secured a unanimous decision victory on Friday night despite being deducted a point for headbutting in round eight.
However, she was booed by the crowd at the AT&T Stadium after the bout whilst her opponent gave an angry post-fight interview.
“Every time you get a cut, it bothers you, she kept headbutting me, but we knew that is what she does,” Serrano said.
“No matter how many cuts I have on my face, I will go until the very end. I think 100 per cent [the headbutts were intentional]. Using her head, dirty.”
Serrano has now played down claims the undisputed lightweight world champion cheated, though, as she congratulated Taylor.
In a lengthy post on X, the Real Deal wrote: “Congratulations to @KatieTaylor on her decision win.
“Tempers are flared when you’re in the heat of battle & you say things you shouldn’t say. I’m not one to ever disrespect an opponent & these were never my intentions to Katie.
“She & I are cool outside the ring and the best dance partners in the ring.
“In no way should I ever had said she did it purposely, it’s her style that makes for them.
“I’m not perfect and though I try my hardest to be the nicest person I can be, I’m human & being emotionally hurt can sometimes misguide you in what you say.
“I’m ok, I’m healthy, a bit bruised and cut but still blessed beyond belief.

“We both came out with our health intact & that’s what I prayed for. Whenever our teams can agree on a trilogy I’ll be ready.
“I hope you guys all enjoyed women’s boxing at its highest level.”
Taylor previously won the pair’s first meeting in April 2022 via split decision at Madison Square Garden.
She successfully defended her IBF, IBO, WBC and WBO lightweight belts with another win in the co-main event of Jake Paul vs Mike Tyson in Texas on Friday.
Meanwhile, Serrano, who was left with a horrific cut above her eye, now has a professional record of 47-3-1 after a second loss to Taylor.
The 36-year-old Puerto Rican remains the IBO and WBO world featherweight champion, though.
However, her hopes of completing the trilogy against Taylor could be in doubt after KT was asked about a potential third bout.
She told talkSPORT: “I’ve beat her twice now, so is there any need for a trilogy?
“But if she wants it, it’s her fight [and] I can absolutely give it to her again.”
As for the main event, Paul secured a unanimous decision victory over former heavyweight world champion Tyson.
