‘They’ve gotta watch it’ – Mike Tyson gives funny warning to his own children while his son watches on at public workout for Jake Paul fight

Mike Tyson let it be known that he wants to intimidate even his own children when he fights Jake Paul on Friday.

The 58-year-old heavyweight boxing legend is set to take on the 27-year-old YouTuber-turned-boxer in a controversial crossover clash.

Mike’s son Amir Tyson smiled awkwardly at his father’s message

While many are understandably concerned about Tyson stepping back into the ring at his advanced age, his children will be there to support him.

When asked about this at Tuesday’s public workout, Iron Mike gave a funny reply.

“Well family’s everything,” Tyson began.

“To my kids I’m nobody, but that night they’re gonna find out their father’s very special.

“I don’t wanna say they take me for granted, but they talk a lot of mess to me that nobody else would.

“So the night of the fight they’re gonna realise they’ve gotta watch it next time they talk crap to me.”

Tyson then started laughing as he was asked to give a message to his children and said: “I love you very much, I can’t wait to see you.”

At this point the camera on the live stream panned to Amir Tyson, Mike’s oldest son.

Amir is working as part of the broadcast team for the fight week media events and gave an embarrassed smile as he saw his face pop up when his father told him he loved him.

The main attraction at the public workouts though was of course Tyson’s boxing.

While Iron Mike has posted several brief clips to social media in recent months, nobody has seen him perform a full workout to test his stamina.

At this public event though, Tyson smashed the pads with his coach Rafael Cordeiro consistently.

He seemed to win over a fair few fans on social media who began changing their predictions judging by the comments that were made as the videos began to circulate.

One wrote: “Mike Tyson still got it! Jake Paul better be ready for a REAL fight!”

While a second fan said: “I’m never betting against Mike Tyson SORRY!! I don’t care what age he is.”

A third commented: “Jake’s made a MASSIVE mistake here.”

And a fourth put: “This is a real heavyweight in front of our eyes. I take back everything I said about his age and speed.”

A fifth fan opined: “If Tyson doesn’t win it’s 100 per cent rigged, even at 58 he’s a far superior boxer than Jake.”

While one more concluded: “There’s going to come a moment in round one where Jake realizes how much he misjudged this, and you will SEE the fear in his eyes as Tyson stalks him.”
