Tottenham welcome AZ Alkmaar to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium this Thursday in what could prove to be their most pivotal 90 minutes of the season.

An Own goal from midfielder Lucas Bergvall the difference between the sides, with an inspired display from Spurs goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario the only thing keeping Tottenham in the tie.
Goals from Pape Matar Sarr and Heung-min Son salvaged a draw for Spurs in the Premier League on the weekend, despite going 2-0 down to Bournemouth, but they remain winless in their last three games.
Spurs head into Thursday’s game without Rodrigo Bentancur, the midfielder is suspended following his yellow card in the first leg. However centre backs Cristian Romero and Micky van de Ven will be welcome returns as both made their first appearances in some months in Tottenham’s 2-2 draw over the weekend.
AZ Alkmaar didn’t play on the weekend so head into Thursday’s game well rested and with confidence flowing following their result against Spurs, which was their seventh win in their last nine games.
