Reigning Premier League champions Manchester City make the trip to the capital tonight as odds on favourites for victory at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium tonight despite having fallen to defeat in three of their last four matches in all competitions.

Pep Guardiola’s side head into tonight’s clash fifth in the table, having been knocked out of the top four by Chelsea’s win over Southampton last night, but will climb back into the Champions League positions with a win tonight and will even climb up to third if Arsenal also beat Nottingham Forest.

City head into the clash with only two league defeats in their last nine outings.

Tottenham prepare for the visit of the champions having won three Premier League games on the trot for the first time this season following their 4-1 win at Portman Road on Saturday afternoon.

The recent wins leave Ange Postecoglou’s side 13th in the Premier League table but with the chance to reclaim 12th place from Crystal Palace, who overtook Spurs with a 4-1 win over Aston Villa last night.

The north London side’s home form has been far from ideal of late, particularly in the Premier League where they’ve only one of their last eight since the start of November.

Tottenham have won both of the two teams’ previous meeting this season, a 4-0 win at the Etihad in the league which followed a 2-1 home win in the Carabao Cup.
