Uganda Cranes’ industrious playmaker Travis Mutyaba has joined French football entity, FC Girondins de Bordeaux.
The skilful diminutive attacker joined the six-time French Ligue 1 winners who were 1881 founded side on a three-year basis as a free-agent.
Mutyaba has been unemployed since parting ways with Egyptian side Zamalek Sports Club.
The former Vipers Junior team and SC Villa player is a product of the schools’ football program (USSSA) having played at St Mary’s Kitende and St Andrew’s Kaggwa Gombe High.
He also featured in the Buganda Masaza Cup with Bulemeezi and has played in the different under-age categories; U-15, U-17, U-18 and U-20 before graduating to the senior national team, Uganda Cranes.
At FC Girondins de Bordeaux, Mutyaba is expected to keep improving several aspects of his game as he strives for playing time to break into Europe’s established leagues.
