The standout ties across English football this weekend come from the FA Cup semi finals, with Saturday’s seeing an Aston Villa side who have won 10 of their last 12 matches in all competitions come up against a bottom-half Crystal Palace side with just one win in six.

In the Premier League, Fulham and Brighton each sit just a point outside the eighth and final European place for next season, and both face very winnable games, coming against an already relegated Southampton team and a West Ham side without a win in their last six games respectively.

Wolves head into the weekend having won five matches in a row to end any fleeting worry of a potential relegation, and Saturday sees them welcome an already-relegated Leicester side to Molineux, with the chance to make it six consecutive wins for Vitor Pereira’s side.

In the Championship, Millwall and Blackburn both still have half a chance of securing themselves a top six finish and a place in the play-offs, with this weekend being seeing them each take on teams without anything left to play for in Swansea and Watford respectively.

In League One, only goal difference separates Reading from the play-offs ahead of their weekend trip to the West Country to take on a Bristol Rovers side currently struggling in the relegation zone after picking up just one point from their last eight matches.

Shrewsbury sit rock bottom of the third tier having not won any of their last 15 matches in all competitions, and have already had their relegation confirmed ahead of their match with mid table Barnsley on Saturday.
