And he has signed up for the BNI Indonesian Masters, which tees off on October 31.
Watson is the biggest name in the hunt for a share of the $2million pot and will face LIV Golf reserve John Catlin.
Catlin is the runaway Asian Tour Order of Merit leader and also tops The International Series rankings.
LIV stars Richard Bland and Danny Lee are also included in the field.
Watson has appeared eight times on the Asian Tour but never competed in Indonesia.
“As everyone knows I have really enjoyed playing in tournaments overseas and so I am really excited about playing in Indonesia for the first time,” Watson said.
“I enjoy coming to Asia and soaking in the sights and sounds and also seeing the diverse mixture of players out here.
“The BNI Indonesian Masters plays a big part in The International Series, which provides a pathway onto the LIV Golf League.
“I’m a big believer in LIV Golf and I’m proud of the impact it has had on the game of golf worldwide.”
Watson, who won the Masters in 2012 and 2014, has 12 PGA Tour victories.

But he has struggled for form in the breakaway league.
The 45-year-old finished below the drop line and LIV bosses confirmed that team captains are no longer exempt from relegation.
Watson is able to appeal to his team to keep him on but no decision has been made, per The Mirror.
“I told my team if they don’t think I am good enough to play, they can kick me out and we will put another good golfer in my place,” he said when he status in the relegation zone was confirmed earlier at the end of the LIV season.
“I am going to play until they kick me out. I love helping the young guys. They are all trying to be better and also better at golf.
“I get to influence three golfers in life, they are all parents and young dads.
“I want to be there for them and if they have a problem, I want to be able to help them.”
